
Tracey Perkins
Founder and Lead Facilitator
Tracey Perkins, our lead facilitator, lives in Darfield on a family-owned 1050 cow dairy farm with her partner Jonny and their three children, Manny, Emily and Jack. Her iwi are Nga Puhi and Raukawa. She was raised in the North Island and has farming experience in Australia and the South Island.
Tracey has worked as a rural professional in Canterbury for almost ten years, working in biosecurity and environmental sustainability for such businesses as AsureQuality and NZ Landcare Trust. Tracey has an impressive portfolio of work from leading high performing teams to successful catchment and community group creation. She enjoys giving back to the industry and has served on the Ballance Farm Environment of the Year Awards and the South Island Dairy Awards Committee. She and Jonny support the Canterbury DairyNZ Awards and their family farming group sponsors the Canterbury Region.
Tracey is a proud Kellog Rural Leadership Programme graduate of Cohort K43 and is an experienced and trained facilitator. She is the only Agricultural facilitator in New Zealand taking a trauma informed approach and with a farmer-to-farmer service. Tracey is passionate about solutions-focused discussions that lead to resilient communities and tangible actions.
